From the reviews
We absolutely love Lake Country Dance! I have two dancers here—one on the All-Star Competition Team and one on the Performance Ensemble—and both programs have been fantastic. The coaches are engaging, encouraging, and supportive while still challenging the dancers to grow and push themselves.
My daughter had danced for years at another studio in the area, but just seemed bored. The studio she was at they learned one dance for an entire 9 months of classes. She loves dance and wanted to do more and we knew she was being held back by not pursuing another studio.
We absolutely LOVE Lake Country Dance! This is our daughter’s 3rd season dancing here, and we couldn’t be happier. Their motto “For the Love of It” is demonstrated by every coach consistently, which has driven not only our daughter’s love for dance, but her confidence. Thank you Lake Country Dance!
We started at LC Dance with Rec Classes and Performance Ensemble and are now doing All Star Competition teams. My girls love it there. The teachers are amazing; the environment is welcoming; and the prices reasonable for all that is included. It’s more than a dance school, it’s a community!
Your first ballet class at Lake Country Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
