From the reviews
After trying two other dance locations, I signed my daughter up at Legacy Ballet back in 2010. It quickly became her home away from home. Her first love will always be ballet, but she's branched out into modern, jazz, and competition dancing. She'd probably take every style Legacy offers, if only we'd let her.
I have been taking my daughters to Legacy Ballet for the last 6 years. We started with a Mom and Tot's ballet class once a week and now we are there four times a week. I consider this studio a second home, as do my girls.
I am an adult dance student who had not been in a ballet class in more than 30 years. I've enjoyed my return to dance so much and feel so fortunate to have found a local studio that provides quality instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.
My daughter loves Legacy Ballet’s tumbling class. Staff are kind/likable, facilities are clean, and our overall experience has been great. I highly recommend Legacy Ballet’s Tumbling classes. I can’t speak to their dance classes, but they seem great too.
Your first ballet class at Legacy Ballet
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
