The programs they offer
“My daughters aren't interested in competition teams and I love that this studio doesn't make you feel bad about that or push you for more.”
What families & students say
“This studio is literally my daughter’s second home and the students and teachers her second family and even support each other outside the studio in their other endeavors.”
From the reviews
This is my daughter’s second year dancing at Legacy. With how much the focus on ballet technique I’ve seen a huge improvement in her dance skills in all genres. She’s been able to get more flexibility and has gotten her splits.
This is the 2nd dance studio we've used in the area and while we liked the first one, we've LOVED this one. Some reasons why: - They have a wider variety of classes and offer more options for your level of commitment.
They are a great business. The owners are super nice and are very invested and involved in giving a quality service. My little girl does dance there and she loves it. They are super good with her and have a real talent for teaching such young girls ballet.
We love Legacy Dance Academy! We have little children and have enjoyed both the 1-3 year and old 3 year old+ classes. The teachers/instructors greet your child by name, are attentive to them, genuinely care, and want to help each child improve.
Your first ballet class at Legacy Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
