Let’s see, my family has 4 generations of Lowe Dancers!! My Aunt started with Ruth in 1959, and my younger aunt followed in the 60’s, I started in the 70’s, my cousins in the 80’s, 4 of my girls have and are dancing there, and now my granddaughter is also taking classes!!
Words can't even express how much we love Lowe Dance Studio! Their dance instructors are all extremely talented and creative, so Lowe students get the best possible dance lessons and the performances are always incredible.
Lowe Dance Studio is not only a professional dance school where you will be taught by hard working & talented teachers, but, it is also one big loving family who looks out for each other and has fun! My son and daughter both take classes at Lowe and they truly love the sport & their teachers!
I just wanted to say what a great job Lowe Dance Studio is doing with keeping the dancers safe during these uncertain times. They have temperature checks, limited class sizes, mask requirements and extensive cleaning. I feel very safe with my daughter dancing here!
Your first ballet class at Lowe Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
