From the reviews
Great place for kids as well as seniors. I just enrolled my daughter for ballet learner classes and she is enjoying every bit of it. They have yoga, karate and other lessons being taught as well. Very impressed over all
The LP Wilson Community Center was once a school & is now divided in half with one side being used by the School Dept & left side being used for the community center which houses the Senior Center, the Win-TV studio & the Auditorium used by the local theater group & the gym.
I went there to see my granddaughter perform in the SpongeBob Musical play and the seats were comfortable. The restroom was clean with soap, warm water, and a paper towel. The parking is large and the lights are on motion detectors for the poles and building.
LP Wilson is a great place for kids and they have so many activities there for kids. Like I was there for my little brothers play rehearsal. There is such to do there that you will never get bored.
Your first ballet class at LP Wilson Community Center
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
