From the reviews
We are wrapping up our 2nd year at MDA and couldn't be happier! A variety of circumstances led to us having been at 3 different studios since my eldest daughter (age 10) started dancing at 2.5, and of the 3, MDA has been the most organized and professional by far!
We have been with MDA for over 6 years and would recommend this studio with total conviction. Matt and Jenny are incredibly educated, organized, and supportive of each dancer. My daughter has grown into a confident and incredibly skilled dancer in her 6 years at MDA.
Love this studio and cannot recommend it enough. My daughter has danced at Michigan Dance Alliance for 6 years. She began at 1 year old in Diaper Darlings and has loved every season. Her confidence has grown immensely.
I can not say enough good things about this studio. My children have been attending Michigan Dance Alliance for 7 years. This studio is amazing. The owners have created a wonderful learning atmosphere for the kids. All of the teachers put their heart and soul into making these children the best they can be.
Your first ballet class at Michigan Dance Alliance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
