We have been a part of Neisha’s Dance and Music Academy for 9 years, taking dance (ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop) and piano. We have had only positive experiences with the customer service team and instructors. It is evident there is a culture of excellence, kindness, and grace among the entire team at Neisha’s.
We love Neisha’s dance studio. We heard about it from a family member. I signed up my two children and they love it. My youngest was too little to attend classes by himself so we both enjoy the mommy-&-me classes.
Our daughter, Jaxie, has danced with Neisha’s Dance & Music Academy since she was 2 years old. Throughout her childhood, Jaxie struggled with extreme shyness (Selective Mutism) and would not talk to anyone. Dance became her safe place and a way for her to express herself in a different way.
I am beyond grateful for the incredible experience my daughter has had at this dance studio. From the very beginning, it has been clear that the teachers and staff genuinely care about each dancer. I’ve seen my daughter grow not only as a dancer but as a young lady, maturing in such a positive, supportive environment.
Your first ballet class at Neisha's Dance & Music Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
