From the reviews
We left our former dance studio for NEDA three years ago because our daughters were looking to be challenged and improve their dance skills. While this was a big decision for them, all it took was one class for us to recognize the NEDA difference and to know that we had made the right choice!
My daughter started at NEDA last year at 4 years old a bit nervous not knowing what to expect. Through the whole year it was extremely easy to communicate with all staff every step of the way.
There is no other studio I would take my daughter to! I am a former dancer of NEDA- I danced here for 18 years and it was the best experience not only for myself and my sister who danced here but for my family as well who looked forward to every competition and recital each year.
My daughter is 3 and is already on her second year at NEDA. She loves it and over the summer during break asked me every week when we were going back to dance. Her confidence has grown tremendously and she constantly wants to show me her forward roll and swan.
Your first ballet class at New England Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
