From the reviews
Amazing studio! When walking into this studio you will first notice how they always maintain and clean and organized setting. Since day one we have been treated like family! The instruction is top notch. The opportunities this studio has given my girls is something we will remember and cherish for a lifetime.
I grew up at The Next Step, starting with Jennifer when I was just five years old. The lessons I learned inside those walls shaped me far beyond the stage. Now my daughters dance here, and watching them fall in love with the same studio that gave me so much is incredibly special.
Our fav studio! My daughter started with rec classes and I found it pretty easy to book private sessions to help with some trouble areas. The staff is great with the kids, energetic, fun, and talented.
My son started at Next Step in April and was welcomed with open arms by all there. Being new to the dance world, I have a ton of questions and I am grateful for all the amazing staff members and parents who are helping me along the way.
Your first ballet class at Next Step
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
