From the reviews
Our children dance here, and we have had a very positive experience. Their teachers are professionals, and are careful to correct bad technique. They are very kind, yet maintain positive studios. They offer classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, modern, and Pointe.
Extremely knowledge and talented instructors who understand how to teach from beginner to expert; as well as the "gifted" AND the "not-so-gifted." North Atlanta Dance Academy (NADA) does all it can to ensure its students have a love of dance, and the ability to perform at their own highest levels.
I have two daughters dancing at North Atlanta Dance Academy; one in 8th grade and one in 5th grade. My eighth grader is in the Accelerated (pre-professional) program and receives instruction in ballet, pointe, character, modern, and jazz.
The best. There are many good schools in the metro area, and NADA is by far the best. When I was searching for the just-right dance instruction for my young daughter, I searched the professional literature for information about best practices in safety, education, instruction, and quality of outcomes.
Your first ballet class at North Atlanta Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
