From the reviews
We love Northwest Ballet! My girls danced at NWB for 12 years and it was their second home. Miss Marisa is kind, caring and compassionate teacher with who creates a very positive and disciplined environment. Her teaching style is highly technique oriented and she produces some highly trained dancers.
NWB is the best ballet school and company in Kalispell. They provide a great pre-professional education with quality instruction and performances. They have a supportive staff and friendly students who create a family-like atmosphere.
A must see if your in the Flathead Valley for their Nutcracker or Mothers Day weekend performances. Stunning work, by far one of the best you will ever see.
Absolutely LOVE this place, my daughter was begging for ballet lessons and we are so please with our choice to send her to NW BC, the teachers are so kind and everyone is super helpful from step 1 of enrolment and all through performances. We look forward to many, many years with this company.
Your first ballet class at Northwest Ballet School & Co
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
