From the reviews
While I haven’t personally attended to the QC Ballet Academy, I’m very familiar with the exceptional reputation of their newly hired teacher, Ms. April Sayin. As an internationally acclaimed artist and educator, her talent, creativity, and dedication to ballet training are widely recognized.
⸻ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OC Ballet Academy is an excellent school. The teachers are caring and attentive, giving each student individual attention. The program is structured and disciplined, yet the atmosphere is warm and supportive. Having preparation for the RAD international exams is a great advantage.
Professional & Balanced OC Ballet Academy offers high-quality training with an excellent curriculum. The RAD exam preparation sets them apart, and the teachers are very professional. The studio itself is beautiful, modern, and well organized.
Ms. April Sayin brings out the best in her students. She understands just how far to challenge each student, motivating them to grow without overwhelming them, and she encourages thoughtful self-reflection along the way.
Your first ballet class at OC Ballet Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
