From the reviews
I would like to express my gratitude to studio owner Courtney Mullen-Francisco, dance instructor Crystal Patient and the entire staff of Organic Movements. We have received the exciting news that our daughter Erin has been accepted by BAK Middle School of the Arts with dance as her major.
This review is long overdue. My daughter has been a student at Organic Movements since they opened their doors in 2013. She participates in ballet, jazz, and acro and she has also attended their summer intensives for the past several summers.
My daughter is now 14 and has been dancing at Organic Movements since she was 3. On top of teaching dance, they also have taught my daughter discipline and have given her so much confidence. She has her family at home, and also her "OM Family".
My daughter just finished up her fist year at Organic Movements. I can't begin to tell you how much we love Organic Movements! She is 4 years old and has learned SO much! Not only are the teachers very professional and talented, they are extremely warm and uplifting.
Your first ballet class at Organic Movements
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
