My 4 year old just completed her first year of dance at Platinum. We started with rec center dance programs as a low commitment activity to see if dance was a good fit, and once we knew it was, she enrolled at platinum. It has been a great year!
We have been with Platinum for 2 years now. I would say that honestly I do not have much experience with dance company's. However I do not need that knowledge to see how great this place is.
We had such a wonderful experience with this dance studio! My daughter took two classes for her very first year of dance, and she absolutely loved both of them. Her teacher was amazing so kind, talented, and easy to talk to. She made my daughter feel welcome and excited to learn each week.
My daughter has only been going to Platinum dance company for 1 yr they are the best studio I have ever experienced the communication is outstanding you always now whats going on and if you have questions they get right back to you.
Your first ballet class at Platinum Dance Company
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
