I came to Power Plus from another competition studio, with little dance experience, all of the instructors I had and even the owner herself Nichole, coached and trained me. After dancing there for 8 years, I was able to be on high school dance and drill teams and even tryout for professional teams.
My daughter has been attending Power Plus Productions for quite a few years now. We have been with other studios in the past, but have found Nichole and the other instructors at this studio to be far more professional and easy to work with. My daughter has improved so much in her dancing since attending this studio.
I have been dancing at power plus since it opened. And I can say I have had the best experience. The coaches and instructors are helpful and always there for us. They are always interacting with us dancers. At the end of the year recitals we have our instructors up there dancing with us.
After dancing with another studio for years it was a refreshing change to come to Power Plus. Professional staff who encourage and challenge my girls. We have been with them for 9 years now. They are all like family. I have watched my girls flurish from young girls into beautiful, talented young women.
Your first ballet class at Power Plus Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
