From the reviews
I have been dancing at Prelude Conservatory since I was 4 years old, and I cannot recommend it enough! The environment is so empowering, and they truly care about their dancer’s minds, bodies, and souls! Good technique training is rare in this area, unless of course you are dancing at Prelude!
Fabulous place to have my daughters. We love that they pray after classes. All of the staff is phenomenal and have formed such a special bond with my girls. The prices are reasonable and all the girls seem to enjoy one another. We are so blessed to have found them!
Ballet instruction from genuine, caring, and talented instructors. Mrs. Abby has been such a blessing to my daughter, and has done so much to encourage her growth as both a dancer and a young lady. Mrs. Hetty is a treasure and we are so thankful for Prelude.
I’ve been a Prelude Conservatory dancer for almost 2 years now and the experience has been incredible. The instructors have created an amazing environment to grow in dance technique, self love, and most importantly a relationship with Jesus!
Your first ballet class at Prelude Conservatory
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
