From the reviews

It's easy to be negative, but you can't argue with well-trained, successful dancers that are receiving industry standard, well-rounded training. It's not for everyone, because the commitment is intense. However, there are fantastic, fun, recreational classes, as well that require very little commitment.

My daughters' have been with Prodigy for almost 7 years. It has been such a positive, and growth filled experience. As a frame of reference, we'd previously danced with another studio (recreationally and competitively) in the area (which was fine), but the training, care, and family atmosphere is second to none.

★★★★★ — Angela, Oct 2020

My daughter switched studios in the Fall of 2016, joining the Prodigy Dance Centre family. It was a difficult time for her with her Grandmother dying at the time. My Mother passed away January of 2017. I could not have asked for a more loving, caring and thoughtful dance family than our Prodigy family.

★★★★★ — Shanda, Oct 2020

I did nothing more than AUDITION here and the experience alone set prodigy apart from the other studios I've been to tremendously. The staff is very attentive, including the owner! I get nervous meeting people and the very first thing Camille did upon meeting me was 1. Greet me by name although we hadn't met yet and 2.

Your first ballet class at Prodigy Dance Centre

Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Ballet is for every age and every body. If you're returning from an injury or have a health concern, mention it to the teacher before class so they can offer modifications.
