From the reviews
My 5 year old daughter has been doing ballet class with Mrs. Robin for the last eight months or so. Mrs. Robin is a wonderful teacher who engages each child in class and gets to know each individual and their needs.
My daughter has been going to this program for about 8 months now and we love it!! Mrs. Robin and Mrs. Mattea are amazing with the girls. Although we don’t have a view of them while they are in class, we get to see them for the last 5-10 minutes and their routines.
My daughter has been taking dance classes with Ms. Robin since September and we absolutely love it! She has a significant speech delay but Ms. Robin has always been so patient, gentle and understanding with her! Very thankful to have such inclusive, affordable and fun dance class options in our community!
Robin does such a great job with these young dancers. She has a positive and disciplined teaching style that translates beautifully to this age group. My daughter loves going to class each week and her performances are always so fun!
Your first ballet class at Ridgefield Dance Program
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
