My daughter LOVES gymnastics at Rowland Ballard Kingwood. She just recently started the competition IGT team and Coach Jay is AMAZING. She is so incredibly patient and kind. She is super knowledgeable of the sport and works hard to ensure the girls are safe and having fun.
Our daughter has been attending one of the preschool gymnastics classes at Rolland Ballard since March 2024. She has loved having her own special sport and always has fun each week! Coach Lana has been absolutely great and makes our daughter feel so comfortable especially since she started going at age 3.
We’ve had such a wonderful experience with my daughter’s gymnastics class! From the very beginning, the gym has been incredibly welcoming and made her feel right at home. The environment is supportive, fun, and perfect for building both skills and confidence.
We have been with RB and coach Jetan now for three seasons and are so happy. She consistently goes above and beyond for the girls. Just last night she brought cupcakes for the team girls as a little incentive to keep pushing. We love our gymnastics family.

Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
