From the reviews
I have been dancing at Santa Clarita Ballet since I was 5. I am now 22 and have had a professional career in ballet, all due to the amazing teaching and coaching I received here.
Outstanding and professional ballet instruction. Our daughter started taking classes at Santa Clarita Ballet in 2008, when she was five years old. Through the instruction she has received, she has thrived in dance and found something she truly loves. The teachers are all excellent.
My daughters attend ballet class at the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy. I am very satisfied with the classical training that they are receiving. The studio is professional, well-structured and maintains a standard of progress for its students.
I've seen a few ballet companies in LA. They seem to have their ducks in a row. The kids and adults are serious, but professional.I have seen better, but only from adults with that career. Other than that...? I would say if your intent is just fun, probably not the spot.
Your first ballet class at Santa Clarita Ballet Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
