From the reviews
My husband and I booked private dance lessons with Sol for our first dance. Not only was Sol encouraging, but his positive energy was super contagious. We took five lessons, and he taught us majority of the dance the first two lessons. We kept refining it and we felt very comfortable at the end of our fifth lesson.
My husband and I signed up for the private wedding lessons to do a choreographed first dance. Let me tell you- EVERYONE at our wedding was telling us it’s the best first dance they’ve ever seen. We had so much fun learning the dance too.
Had a sweet 16 for my daughter and we worked with Mr.Leo for choreography on a father-daughter, sister-sister, and a court dance. Mr Leo is amazing. He is patient and efficient in all he does. He pushed the family to comfortable limits! The dances turned out amazing and we couldn’t have done them without him.
We worked with Leo for our first dance! He was absolutely incredible — he was so patient, but also pushed us to do more than we thought possible! Absolutely perfect experience. Our guests were so surprised by our dance and it was a key memorable moment in our wedding :)
Your first ballet class at Sol Dance Center
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
