From the reviews
We are very pleased with our first experience with Sonshine Academy swimming lessons! My 4 year old was so nervous and needed me poolside for the first couple of lessons, but she gradually built confidence each week and looked forward to class. She had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed seeing her growth.
I grew up at the original Sonshine when it opened, and now my daughter has grown up at Sonshine, too. She's learning character qualities like caring for others, being a good friend, self-discipline, and perseverance while learning skills like dance and swim.
We enrolled our boys in swim lessons at Sonshine Academy this summer. We have been so impressed with how fast each of the boys progressed! Neither had much experience with water and they are both much more comfortable now! They already can't wait for next summer!
My 5 year old just wrapped up her second summer with Sonshine! We have loved every minute of it! She has master so many new skills and is more comfortable being in the pool without her floaties! We are so glad we choice this swim program! Will do it again with our youngest as well!
Your first ballet class at Sonshine Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
