great place to dance. I have been going to southstar for 5 years. great environment and even more amazing teachers. Ms, Emily has definitely helped me become a better dancer and person. Anybody who says that southstar is unproffesional is lying to themselves.

She loved all of it but she always says she loves watching the big kids when you ask her what she loves most about dance.
I can’t recommend this dance studio enough, especially if your littles have the chance to take a class with Miss Shaelyn! She is an outstanding teacher who brings so much passion, patience, and positivity to every class!! Great atmosphere ❤️❤️
i just want to say that southstar is the most amazing place! It has been a second home for me the past 10 years. i love everyone there and the teachers are amazing i have made so many amazing memories here that i will never forget🥺❤️
Your first ballet class at Southstar Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
