I have 25+ years ~Dance Mom~ experience... So, with that being said, BAABOO aka gma was just helping my daughter out by taking our grandbb's to their Wed. dance class (ballet/tap). The huge DANCE sign was helpful, but when i opened the door, i was totally shocked at how small the front area is!!
My daughter has loved her Combo class at Spark. She loves her teacher Ms Kami and I have also been impressed with her as she makes class so fun and doesn't let kids just fool around.
My daughter loves going to dance class! Props to Ms Kami for putting up with my fun loving girl that wants to goof off the whole time. Considering my daughter is 3 years old, she has improved her listening and coordination skills significantly and is having a good time! It's FUN and EDUCATIONAL! And AFFORDABLE!!
My daughter has been at Spark for almost 2 years now. She did the Mommy and Me class and now does the 3-5 Combo that includes tap, ballet, and tumbling. She tends to be a shy child and starting her early in dance has helped her over time gain confidence in herself.
Your first ballet class at Spark Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
