I am a professional dancer on Thanksgiving vacation in Miami. I wanted a technique class in order to help me stay in shape throughout the holiday weekend as my ballet company has opening night in two weeks. Kirova Ballet Academy was very welcoming and accommodating.
I started at KBA when I was 11 years old after a year of dancing when I decided I wanted a more ballet-centered education. It was the best decision I made. I stayed throughout the years until I graduated high school.
I am grateful to have the opportunity for my son to attend Kirova Dance Academy & Toro Dance. The teachers are experienced professionals and the atmosphere in the studio is always welcoming and warm. Students get along really well, they enjoy spending time in here while learning from truly remarkable choreographers.
This is great place for your child to learn dancing!My daughter is growing to be ballerina by gentle and kind training of Antonina Arefieva she is great teacher ! The only thing for the parents who brining their kids there please be respectful and fallow discipline so other kids can get teaching attention !
Your first ballet class at Stars Dance Hallandale
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
