From the reviews
I dont think I could post enough about why we love this studio. My daughter has been dancing here since she was 3 and she will be 8 next month. We've been here when tragedy struck a few of the dance families and as a family, Amy and everyone involved pulled together to support these families and really surrounded them…
Step by Step is simply the best studio I've ever danced at! It's really a wonderful place. Amy gives excellent feedback and critique. She is very knowledgeable about dance and has lots of pointers to help with technique. As an adult dancer, I feel welcome and like I am always learning! Classs flies by.
We love Step by Step! The instructors are talented, patient, and truly care about each dancer. The environment is positive, welcoming, and so encouraging. We’ve been a part of the SBS family for many years! It’s been an amazing place to grow confidence and skills! We highly recommend!
My daughter has been dancing here since she was 5 (she’s now 14) and we absolutely love it. They have very talented teachers that care about the whole student. It truly feels like a family. They offer many classes for all different ages and skill levels.
Your first ballet class at Step By Step Dance Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
