I have been a part of the SBS Family for over 15 years and consider this studio my second home. In comparison to other studios I’ve been at, SBS is a well oiled machine.
Step by Step has provided our three daughters with an amazing dance experience. All three of our girls look forward to their dance classes with such great anticipation each week. Step by Step has provided our girls with a creative outlet that they have been unable to fulfill elsewhere.
We are very happy we found Step By Step Dance Studio. They are organized, run classes on time, the teachers are very dedicate to the group and also manage to provide individual attention.
I attended the Step by Step dance recital this weekend and I was beyond impressed with all of the thought and detail put into this show! The Director and staff did an amazing job with the children and handling all of the curve balls thrown their way. The students shined like true stars!
Your first ballet class at Step by Step Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
