Great place ! Been coming here since I was 5 years old and I had my sweet 16 dance lessons ,and now my wedding lessons ! Giesel is the greatest dance teacher ever and truly cares about every single one of her students and staff . It's not just a dance studio it's a family studio ! Highly recommend !
kira is incredible. adult ballet and hip hop are so much fun. classes are affordable at $20. its cheaper to get on the monthly plan. the rooms are spacious with nice equipment.
Our daughter has been coming here for four years now! It is amazing to see her progress in ballet and now she loves dance so much she has expanded her horizons to jazz, hip hop, and tumbling. Most dance studios cost an arm and a leg; Stepping Out has always been reasonable and accommodating.
My daughter has been attending this studio for about a month now and so far everything has been great. The studio is clean, comfortable, and inviting. There's a place for parents to sit and wait. Theres windows in the dance rooms for parents to watch their children if they wish.
Your first ballet class at Stepping Out Performing Arts & Recording Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
