Updated: We are now at 5 years at Stepping Stones. Below is still accurate,except my daughters have had additional amazing teachers to add to the mix! Both daughters are now taking summer classes.
Stepping Stone is by far the best dance studio! My daughter has been dancing there most of her life. Dana and all the teachers have always gone above and beyond for their dancers. I’ve always admired how Ms. Dana treats the dancers like her own children. Keep ip the good work Stepping Stone! 💜
Dana and her staff are amazing! I love that my kids can dance there without being in competitive dance. They have all levels and support all of their kids. They go out of their way to make each kid feel special and welcome.
Amazing dance studio! Ms. Dana goes above and beyond to ensure that all our her students are getting the best dance experience possible! Her teachers are knowledgeable and fun, her studio is clean and run very well, and above all, my girls are all very happy to dance here!
Your first ballet class at Stepping Stone Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
