What families & students say
“The instructors have all been wonderful with young dancers - very patient, and gently corrective.”
“We love how the classes have multiple teachers to give plenty of attention to teaching each child the proper form while in a really fun environment.”
“Our daughter who is shy and stubborn at times just loves this place and adores her teachers!”
“Mast was so kind and offered to let her come watch a class prior to her starting and she even gave her a sneak peek into the huge costume closet.”
“We knew our shy daughter wanted to try a dance class that was intimate and didn’t involve getting on a stage at the end for a big recital and this was the perfect thing!”
“I, and my family, are so grateful for the professionalism, love and respect that ALL the teachers at Storybook Ballet have given us over these many years!”
From the reviews
My daughter started taking dance at Storybook Ballet in the Summer of 2020, and has repeatedly requested to be signed up for the next class session offered when her current session concludes. Here we are two years later, and my daughter still loves going to class every week.
My family has been a part of Storybook Ballet for 6 years! My oldest started when she was 3 and this is her last session there! Luckily I have a younger daughter who is still at Storybook Ballet!!! I have continued to stay with Mrs. Mast and Storybook ballet for many reasons.
Storybook Ballet has been a wonderful wonderful experience for our children. We have had the joy of being enrolled over the past 5+ years and my children are delighted each week to attend their classes. Mrs. Mast and her staff are wonderful instructors and it shows!
We started with a birthday party for our daughter, and she happened to be very sick on the day of her party, and Mrs. Mast was incredibly accommodating, allowed us to change the date of her party with no change fee or any hassle at all. After the party, our daughter started taking lessons.
Your first ballet class at Storybook Ballet
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
