From the reviews
My daughter has been attending this place for some time. The j is for Jesus which is the main reason my wife picked this place knowing that higher values are installed in our children and for others that participate together.
As a service provider for Studio J, I get to witness the heart that the instructors and owner have for the kids and their families from behind the scenes. They LOVE the kids!...and work hard to bring encouragement and success to each one.
Took our daughter for tap/jazz & ballet. She absolutely loved it. She looked forward to going to dance each week. Her teachers were amazing and it's evident that they love what they are doing. Truly appreciated the Christian beliefs that they use to teach and run their business.
We love StudioJ! We love that they are Christ centered and we don't have to worry about anything being inappropriate. The costumes are not revealing and the songs are wonderful. Miss Meredith and staff are always smiling and excited to see the kids come through the doors.
Your first ballet class at Studio J Performing Arts Center
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
