From the reviews
Two years ago I moved to Prescott which was a big change for my two children. I felt it necessary to find something my daughter enjoyed which landed us at Summer's DanceWorks. My daughter absolutely loves Miss Summer.
I love this dance studio! While I do not have kids myself, I have 2 nieces who are still dancing here after 15 awesome years and my nephew even danced with them for many years as well.
We helped celebrate our granddaughter's 7th Birthday today with a super fun neon glow dance party with all her friends. Ms. Jaime was our wonderful host, and made sure the kids were fully engaged in all the party activities etc.
My daughters been dancing here for 2 years now. We LOVE Mrs.Summer and Mrs.Jaimie and of course, Mrs.Michelle!! Summer has years of experience teaching and it really shows throughout her classes. My daughter also started an acro class with Kimberly. You can buy shoes here. There are SOME leotards.
Your first ballet class at Summer's DanceWorks
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
