My daughter is a special needs student and we attend the classes here and we absolutely LOVE it. Suzanne's School of Dance is a great place to bring your child. The teachers are lovely and they take time to show all student's attention and teach them how to have a good time.
We just moved to College Station two weeks ago and since my daughter had been taking dancing lessons in Buda TX, I decided to enroll her at Suzanne's School of Dance for their summer dance classes and my daughter LOVED it so much! She quickly made friends and simply fell in love with the dance teacher.
This studio is everything I have always wanted to find but didn’t know existed! The teachers are welcoming, friendly, and kind. The music is uplifting, the costumes are modest, and the facility is clean. I grew up dancing ballet, jazz, and lyrical, therefore was reluctant to expose my daughter to the dance world.
My daughter has been attending Suzanne's School of Dance for 2 years and is now entering her third year. It has been such a blessing to watch her grow in Dance and confidence. The studio is faith based, modest and leads by example how to serve each other and our community.
Your first ballet class at Suzanne's School of Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
