From the reviews
Our girls love their APA dance classes! The teachers go above and beyond to make it a fun and enjoyable experience every week. We are so thankful for Ms. Sami and Ms. Olivia C who are always so patient with our daughter in her ballet/tap class! We also love Ms. Kyleigh and Ms.
We absolutely love APA! Our daughter has been taking dance classes at the Franklin location for 3 years now and she loves it! The staff is very friendly and you can tell that the dance teachers love their jobs as well.
My daughter has be going to APA for 2 years now, going into her third year! She absolutely loves going to class on a weekly basis as they are learning technique and having fun in class. I don't have others in Milwaukee to compare to, but I was in dance my whole life and this this what I would expect out of a school.
APA is amazing! The staff is always so courteous, friendly and helpful. The entire business is extremely well run and organized, the teachers are excellent at what they do and you can they truly enjoy it!
Your first ballet class at The Academy of Performing Arts
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
