From the reviews
This is an incredible studio! The founders took a HUGE leap of faith and started the studio for girls that wanted to stay together when their previous studio closed due to COVID. We appreciate their courage to prioritize loving these kids over fears.
I highly recommend The Dance Collective! What a blessing it is to have this incredible studio in our community. The owners, Tori and Elizabeth, have created a safe, welcoming environment where they challenge their students to develop skills and technique while also encouraging kindness and inclusivity.
We couldn’t love The Dance Collective more than we do! My girls have thrived learning from Ms. Tori and Ms. Elizabeth and we are so happy to have joined TDC. Each week my girls are excited to go to dance, love showing us what they have learned and have developed some great friendships.
The Dance Collective is a wonderful dance studio! All the instructors are extremely talented and helpful. Each performance and showcase has been so fun and entertaining and everyone at the studio is professional and kind. I highly recommend this studio for both seasoned and new dancers!
Your first ballet class at The Dance Collective
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
