From the reviews

My daughter attends dance at this establishment. She was so scared her first day but Heather made her feel welcome and now she LOVES it and wants to add a second class! I often stay to watch and they have a lot of fun and they end in a group hug!

★★★★★ — Minda, Jan 2018

We just moved to the dance company from another studio and we couldn’t be happier! My girls adore their teacher and Hilary and Heather are doing an amazing job! My daughters can’t wait to come every week and I’ve already seen substantial progress in both of them!

★★★★★ — Mollie, Jan 2018

My daughters have been dancing at this studio for eight years and I have had only positive experiences. The teachers are professional and provide personalized attention and the quality of instruction is excellent.

★★★★★ — Ashley, May 2014

My 7 year old daughter recently attended a dance camp over the holiday break. It was her first experience in any type of dance class and she was very nervous. Both Heather and Hilary put her completely at ease and taught her more than I could have imagined in just a few days.

Your first ballet class at The Dance Company

Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Ballet is for every age and every body. If you're returning from an injury or have a health concern, mention it to the teacher before class so they can offer modifications.
