My daughter has been at the dance connection for 5 years now. As soon as you walk through the door you are welcomed with a smile from Ms. Josie! Everyone at the dance connection is friendly.
I spent a great deal of time in choosing a dance studio for my daughter, as she is special needs. The owners Jenn and Lori took the time to answer my questions and assured me they would be able to accommodate us. They are certified teachers who are amazing with their students.
Both of my children (4&6) signed up for summer classes to get a feel for dance before committing to the fall-spring session. This was their first time with dance and the instructors were so patient and kind and really made my children want to sign up for the fall .
My daughters have been at TDC since they were in the creative class at 3 years old. Their highly qualified staff has been nothing but professional, caring, and accommodating especially during the global pandemic.
Your first ballet class at The Dance Connection
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
