From the reviews
We drive past 3 different dance studios just to dance at TDM. My older daughter loves the attention to detail that the instructors give and has improved greatly as a dancer. She can't wait to get to her home away from home everyday.
Moving to TDM from a much larger studio two years ago was the best move for my daughter. Their focus on technique has fundamentally changed the way my daughter dances. We love the community and the teachers are consistent (low turn-over) and amazing. Smaller classes means more corrections and attention.
I am impressed every time I walk in the doors of this studio. This studio employs such an experienced and professional staff and I am thrilled that my daughter gets to learn from them! I know that we have found our dance home!
Hands down the best studio for technical training at all levels in the North Denver / Boulder community. This studio has the most loving, supportive and joyful environment!
Your first ballet class at The Dance Movement
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
