From the reviews
My oldest began dancing with AFPA the year they opened, when she was 3 years old. She is now 12. Her younger sister has danced at AFPA for the last 6 years and my son has danced here for 2 years. This is a small, family owned business that is a valuable asset to our community!
From my experience, this is the best dance studio in Scottsdale, Arizona. If you are looking to enroll your child into a studio that will nurture and foster the development of a strong dancer with great social skills as well as a strong dance background, this is the place!
We absolutely loveee AFPA! This is our daughters home away from home. My girls have now been here a year and a half. We couldn’t be happier! They are always keeping the kids attention with new ways to teach and staying current with dance styles. Wouldn’t pick another place to have our kids attend.
Best Birthday Party Ever! AFPA does birthday parties, and they do them very well. My daughter had an excellent time; the kids were busy the entire time. The staff does everything. I didn't have to do anything. Highly recommended if you want everyone to have a good time and you do not want the stress of planning.
Your first ballet class at The Dance Source
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
