From the reviews
My daughter has been dancing at The Dance Studio for seven years, after having tried a couple of other dance studios in Bellingham. Britt is highly loved, revered, and looked up to by her students. Her endless energy, "can do" attitude, and ingenuity make her an effective leader of a well functioning small business.
I have been a part of the dance studio for 30+ years. My sisters and I danced there when we were younger and now all 3 of my daughters have been dancing for the past 4 years. We will continue to dance there for years to come. Britt is so amazing. Always happy, smiling and upbeat.
The Dance Studio has been an incredible place for both of our girls as well as myself for dance classes the last 6 years. There is always a variety of dance classes offered and times available. During this unpredictable time of a Pandemic, the staff have pivoted (little dance pun intended!
My daughter started at The Dance Studio after we moved to Bellingham in January. Miss Britt, Miss Paige, and all the staff were immediately welcoming to my 4 year old, and she felt comfortable after her first class. She loves her teachers and friends, and our family loves the welcoming and positive environment.
Your first ballet class at The Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
