From the reviews
We found the Dancer’s Academy completely by chance, scrolling through Facebook one afternoon. My daughter was very small, and had made a previous attempt at ballet before, but she was painfully shy and too anxious to enjoy her lessons. I thought that perhaps dance wasn’t in the cards for her.
The Dancers Academy is truly more than just a dance studio, it’s a place where children are encouraged, nurtured, and poured into in ways that go far beyond learning steps and routines. Every teacher invests not only in their students technique, but also in their confidence, discipline, and personal growth.
We love TDA! This is our third year, and my girls have learned so much foundational dance instruction. Even more-so, I appreciate how committed the studio is to developing the character and camaraderie of their dancers.
For the past three years, our daughter has enjoyed The Dancer’s Academy. It is a professional business that instills not only technique, but a love for dance. The teachers challenge students to be their best all while practicing etiquette and manners- something that will truly last a lifetime.
Your first ballet class at The Dancers Academy
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
