From the reviews
I really enjoy training here. I love the technique is top priority and that communication with the studio owner is always prompt. This maybe a small studio as it just opened but it will be one to watch for training and competition pre pro opportunities.
Wow! What can I say about this studio. My daughter was scared to come to the studio only because she was losing her love for dance. Well that all changed when she stepped into the door. She’s been training hard and she’s getting her love of dance back.
My daughters love Shawn and they have really grown with his excellent coaching over a full year. We were at another studio for 5 years and their level increased as soon as they step in with this dance company. Shawn is a great dance teacher but also a mentor to all the girls, motivating them constantly.
The instructor here does a fantastic job with his classes while enjoying and understanding his students. He knows how to really work them but at the same time, knows how to have fun. Our daughter really enjoys his classes!
Your first ballet class at The MoveMeant Project
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
