What families & students say
“Most importantly, she led a wonderful gentle flow yoga session tailored to our group of beginners, followed by a relaxing sound bath that truly restored us all after a long night.”
“I have been a member of this studio for a few months now; I have had nothing but positive, welcoming and encouraging encounters with every instructor.”
“I appreciate most the opportunities to perform, giving current or former dancers experience to dance live on stage.”
“Leading up to the event she was professional and communicative and the day-of she arrived early to setup and presented an experience that was a true delight.”
From the reviews
I lovecthis yoga studio. It makes you feel like family. The owner Ellen is so humble, funny and overall relatable. This studio is open to all levels of yogis...everytime I attend a session It feels like coming home.
Our company had such a fantastic experience with Ellen and The Movement Loft for our annual Wellness Week. Ellen partnered with us to host 2 yoga classes and 2 sound bath/meditation sessions all on-site for our employees to experience and enjoy during the workday.
Ellen is amazing! We booked a yoga + sound bath at our home for a girls weekend. Ellen was super responsive and made the booking process seamless, and arrived promptly at our booked time. She was so friendly and helpful in figuring out where we needed to set up space.
I love the Movement Loft. The classes are fun and the choreographers create amazing combos for clothe classes. I appreciate having a studio to go to for adults that love dancing or haven’t danced in a while.
Your first ballet class at The Movement Loft
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
