From the reviews
I danced at The Studio for 10 years, up until I graduated high school and moved out of STL. It's always hard to capture such a strong love for a place with words, but I'll try my best. When my Mom first enrolled me at The Studio, she was looking for a place that was different than other dance studios.
When my son was going to start dance classes I wanted a dance studio that was encouraging of boys and had a great ratio of boys to girls so I asked a friend who had a son that danced where they went. They highly recommended The Studio, Inc. and we have been there for the past 4 years.
My 16 year-old daughter has been taking ballet and jazz here for the past five years and she loves it. Miss Amanda and Miss Emily make dancing fun. She goes in tired and work from school and comes out smiling and energized. Thankful for the Studio!
Wonderful instructors who my kids love- Miss Amanda and Miss Emily have great teaching styles that keep even young children engaged and each child feels included and part of the dance family. The studio is clean with plenty of space.
Your first ballet class at The Studio, Inc.
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
