From the reviews
Our daughter has been dancing at The Studio School of Dance since she was 10 years old (6yrs). She has grown into a beautiful dancer thanks to the tutelage of all teachers, but, most importantly, they have come alongside of us and helped shape her into a wonderfully kind, loving, disciplined young lady.
My family has been part of the Studio family for over 20 years. My daughter danced there ages 2 through 17 and I as her parent have taken adult classes since she graduated from high school. This place is magical as it has a closeness to it and is not high pressured.
Loved the energy and environment of this dance studio. All the teachers and students are so nice! The staff is very kind and understanding. I highly appreciate them and definitely would recommend them to any and everyone.
The Studio has some of the best teachers in dance in the KC area. My daughter and all the girls as far as I can tell love The Studio and improve every year.
Your first ballet class at The Studio School of Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
