From the reviews

My 4 year old daughter loves going to class every week and her teacher, Miss Amelia is wonderful! In fact, we have found that everyone at the studio is very kind and helpful. Miss Amelia treats her students with such warmth and joy and each class is fun and very well put together.

We had an incredible experience with Tiny Dancers in Fairfax! I cannot praise Ms. Amelia enough. She was so fun, entertaining, understanding and a great teacher for the wiggletoes class. My daughter started off not liking ballet that much, but ended up asking me every week when we would go.

★★★★★ — Melanie, May 2023

My daughter Zara loves her teacher and learning a new type of dance. Her teacher, Amelia, who is also the studio manager, was very sweet and a extremely knowledgeable teacher. I would suggest Tiny Dancers Fairfax to anyone that had a child eager to learn dance! Highly recommended!

★★★★★ — Gloria, Jan 2023

My daughter has been going to Tiny Dancers since she was 2. She started at 2 in the mommy and me “wiggletoes” classes at the Alexandria studio. She is now in progressive virtual ballet classes based in the Mosaic location. All of the teachers are amazing.

Your first ballet class at Tiny Dancers

Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Ballet is for every age and every body. If you're returning from an injury or have a health concern, mention it to the teacher before class so they can offer modifications.
