From the reviews
Rated the best in Yuba-Sutter for good reason. We love everything about TDC and wouldn’t change a thing! Great variety of classes and the staff is amazing!
My daughter has loved dancing here. She loves her classmates & the staff. She asks to see her dance teacher on non-dance class days. My 4 year old actually retains what is being taught & shows her moves everywhere! As a parent, every time I’ve had a question, needed clarification, ect. the staff got back to me asap!
This place is awesome!!! My little is almost 4 and she has been dancing around the house. So we finally got her into the ballet, and she loves it. She looks foreward to Mondays, she knows its dance day. The instructors are paitent and kind, they take their time with each of the littles.
My grandaughter takes classes her. They are very supportive of the dancers and beyond dance classes they care about the community and inspire students to volunteer in the community. I think its a very good thing for young people to learn how they can help others. Good teachers very good experience for every one.
Your first ballet class at Transitions Dance Center
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
