My daughter has been dancing with the owners of TDF since she was 3 yrs old which translates to 15 years. We are so grateful to have a dance studio at this caliber in our little mountain town.
BEST DANCE STUDIO AROUND!!! If your looking for an amazing dance studio with dedicated talented teachers?, this is a place you should check out. The studio is clean and staff is super friendly and informative, convenient little waiting room with activities for my 3 yrs old son and TV's so i can watch the classes…
I'm always blown away at the innovative and creative approach of this studio. They are to notch, teaching skills and discipline that will carry on throughout a child's life into adulthood. Great work TDF!!
As a grandparent with two grandchildren (a 13 year old girl and 11 year old boy) in classes at the TDF, I have been impressed over the years with the skill and enthusiasm imparted to students by the teachers and staff.
Your first ballet class at Truckee Dance Factory
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
