It's been wonderful seeing my daughter grow with confidence each week as she explores her love for ballet. Winter Bravo Bash, "Starry, Starry Night" was her first time ever performing in a public setting and it was something she was actually looking forward to!
My daughter Leila just started dance classes here last month and we LOVE it. She’s in the tutu toddlers (mom & me). We’ve taken classes with Miss Mia and Miss Lindsay and they are both so sweet, patient, and interactive. My little one has a LOT of energy and loses focus (as expected for 2 years olds, of course!
Miss Rebekah is the BEST! She’s so patient and kind with the girls. You can tell that she genuinely loves being able to inspire these little dancers. My little ballerina looks forward to her dance class every week!
We love Tutu school so very much! We had a 2 year old and 4.5 year old who were both performing in the show and it was so perfectly tailored for families with small children! We loved how they kept the first two rows open for families whose kids are performing in that time slot!
Your first ballet class at Tutu School Huntington Beach
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
