From the reviews
My daughter is almost 3 years old has completed a few classes so far in the 3-4 year old class bracket. She is always excited to go and after the class talks my husbands ear off about what she did. She goes on and on about the butterfly wings, shows how she spins, and leaps.
Ms. Alyssa is one of those dance teachers who not only teaches dance, but can connect with children. She leaves space for them to interact in class, and she never talks down to them, while teaching them the building blocks of ballet.
Tutu School Sun prairie is a magical place for the seed of dance to be planted. Ms Alyssa is by far one of the best educators in the Madison area. The programs she offers at Tutu School are amazing. The location is also a lovely perk.
This place is magical! Miss Alyssa is the best, she works with the age groups perfectly, combining ballet with other important life skills from basics like colors, numbers and language to more complicated things like body awareness, and socialization.
Your first ballet class at Tutu School Sun Prairie
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
